Commissions

The commisison queue is done on a first-come-first-serve basis. When the queue is full, a waiting list will be opened up and each commission seen to in the order in which they arrive.
The cost of all commissions are based upon cost of fabric and materials, as well as time and effort put into the project. Time is measured in four hour blocks, usually costing around $60.00 USD per (4 hour) block. (Price may vary depending on available designer.)
Shipping and handling costs are determined by weight of the commission and method used for shipping. Regardless of order, delivery confirmation is required. Commission payment will be made by either check, money order or PayPal transfer. Please give time for orders paid by check as all checks must clear before any items are sent.

There are two times the Client will be asked for payment:

1. Before Project is started, after final details have been worked out. This will include Fabric and Materials cost, and 50% of the projected time to complete.
2. After the entire commission has been completed, before it is shipped to the Client. This will include last 50% of time cost, as well as shipping charges.


We work one-on-one with every client before a project starts, and make every effort to stick to the time quoted so that extra charges are not issued.
In the event that the client does not deliver payment the client forfeits all rights to their requested commission. SpicyCream does not accept orders from clients who have previously cancelled without due notice or cause.
Please allow six to eight weeks from first payment for item to be completed and shipped. Some commissions may take longer due to detail work, size of project, obtaining fabrics, and so on.


If you are interested in having a commission made by SpicyCream, please e-mail Customer Service with your request, pictures, and date needed by. We will then send a detailed measurement list, and begin discussing fabric choices, detail work, and so on. When the final project has been decided, the client is responsible for sending the first half of payment. SpicyCream will begin work after the first payment has been received and cleared. We like to keep our clients as updated and as involved as possible so periodically SpicyCream will send pictures of the commission progress. Once the commission has been completed, final portfolio pictures will be taken and sent to the client. After the Client's second payment has been sent and cleared, then the commission will be shipped. Please Note: After the first payment has been sent and the commission details finalized, the Client is allowed only two changes to the main commission. If the client has any further changes made to the commission a cost of $10 will be added PER change along with additional materials and labor.
